JOHANNESBURG – Celebrity choreographer Somizi Mhlongo and award-winning comedienne Tumi Morake will host the annual 23rd South African Music Awards (SAMA).

Organisers, the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA), said SAMA 23 will be held at Sun City Superbowl in North West on May 27 and will be broadcast live on SABC1 at 8pm.

Mhlongo is a much loved theatre and television veteran as well as a judge on Idols SA. He returns to the hosting duties as he did last year when he co-hosted with actress Thando Thabethe.
