JOHANNESBURG – Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift shocked the world three months ago when news broke that the two were an item, merely two weeks after Swift had split from the world’s highest paid DJ, Calvin Harris.
Fast forward to September 6, US Weekly broke the news that the pair has officially called it quits. So much for meeting each other’s parents, romantic trips around the world, and that (ahem) I *heart* T.S. T-shirt Hiddleston wore during their PDA-filled July 4 celebrations.
US Weekly confirmed that Swift was the one who ended the relationship because “Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with.”
It has been speculated that the couple was taking strain because Hiddleston has been in Australia filming ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ while Swift has been in the States.
Don’t expect any “bad blood” between the two though, because sources say that they will remain friends, which is more than we can say about Swift’s break up from Calvin Harris.
People are not really sure how to take the news though, with some genuinely sad that the relationship has ended, some are happy that they are now able to freely thirst after their favourite villain Loki, and others are still not convinced that the two were ever really dating #publicitystunt.
I guess all we can do now is wait for another epic break up song from Swift.
