JOHANNESBURG – When famous couples split, it means drama in the public eye. With However, in the case of Hollywood stars Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts, it’s a complete different situation.
The pair have been together for over 11 years. They didn’t feel the need to expose themselves on social media to by airing their dirty laundry, that might have gone on behind closed doors and caused them to split. Instead, the couple issued a press statement that speaks about their separation.
“The best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple, it is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship,” they said, asking for privacy for their two young sons.
“While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy”, the couple said in a statement on Monday.
Their split is on the back of Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s sudden divorce announcement last week.
