Puddings don’t have to be hot. If they are made with warming ingredients like spices, they still provide a sense of warmth and comfort.

Serves 6-8

4 apples, cored, peeled and chopped

2 pears, peeled, cored and chopped

250g strawberries, halved

zest and juice from 1 orange

60ml Lifestyle Food xylitol

CRUMBLE

30ml almond flour

30ml Lifestyle Food rice flour

15ml buckwheat flour

30ml Lifestyle Food xylitol

30ml desiccated coconut

45ml Lifestyle Food rolled oats

60ml Lifestyle coconut oil, hard

45ml flaked almonds

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Combine the apples, pears, strawberries, orange zest and juice and xylitol in an ovenproof dish and mix well.

Cover with the crumble and scatter over the flaked almonds.

Bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden and bubbling.

CRUMBLE:

Combine the almond, rice and buckwheat flours, xylitol, coconut and rolled oats in a bowl. Mix well.

Rub in the hardened coconut oil, then crumble over the fruit.
