Love always wins and happily ever after still exists, this is quite evident with Caster Semenya, South African’s Olympic gold medallist runner and long-time girlfriend Violet Raseboya.
The two got married over a year ago in their home province of Limpopo in a colourful traditional wedding ceremony.
The pair held another beautiful white wedding on Saturday to celebrate their union and renewed their wedding vows.
The elated couple walked down the aisle at the Chez Charlene Wedding Venue, in Pretoria.
With family, friends and a few celebrities, the intimate ceremony left many attendees gushing about the glamorous event.
Violet wore a white full-length lace wedding gown that left many mesmerised and in awe.
While Caster, was seen wearing an Asian inspired navy blue suit with beautiful detailed embroidery, gold breeches and velvet slippers for the ceremony.
Unlike many high-profile weddings and their anti-photo’s rule, guests were left free to capture the beautiful love story that we all got to experience through social media videos and pictures that were shot at the exclusive wedding event.
The Olympian posted a series of intimate photographs of herself and Violet dressed up for the big day. She posted one that won over the romantic within all of us, captioned “my heart”. The photo showed Violet in her beautiful wedding dress.
Later on Semenye posted a photo that summed up their union day and event, she captioned it “the perfect day.”
