RCS Youth Day Race

The annual RCS Youth Day Race happens in Gugulethu on Saturday, 16 June. The event includes a 10km road race, as well as a 4.2km fun run, so runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels are able to join the RCS Youth Day Race.

Youth Day 8km Picnic hike

8 km of steep climbs and descents with one river crossing. Trekking poles and hiking shoes are key to complete this trail within three hours. Fees payable: R 390.00 p/p incl.a fruit, energy bar, water, refresher drinks, and a picnic braai, after the hike. The hike will be guided by a certified fitness coach with an Advanced First Aid level.

IFP Youth Day Rally

On Saturday, 16 June 2018, the IFP Youth Brigade (IFPYB) will mark Youth Day in honouring the Youth of ’76 and all others who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom and democracy. They will be celebrating the Youth of ’76 by holding a Youth Day Rally at Curries Stadium in Durban.

This year’s theme, “Breaking Barriers- Building The Future” will address the challenges millions of South African youth face and what is required of our youth today in building a brighter future for tomorrow.
