‘Refined, luxurious, glamorous!’
Gavin Rajah opened the first night of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week with an opulent collection consisting of florals, animal print, voluminous sleeves and an overdose of gorgeous glamour.
The designer received a standing ovation from the front row for his collection inspired by 1871 to the start of World War in 1914: “It was a time that really brought on a sense of ‘joie de vivre‘ meaning the joy of living. It was an age that saw the introduction of exoticism in fashion and the start of haute couture.”
“The collection speaks for itself and does not rely on theatrics!” Gavin Rajah
