Fashion, art and culture collide in Gucci’s powerful 2019 cruise collection.
The creative genuis behind the brand, Alessandro Michele was inspired by the “idea of death” and transformed his vision into a fashion spectacle drenched in religious imagery, historical references and otherwordly romanticism.
Set in a Roman cemetry in the old French town of Arles, each garment was intricately woven with cultural significance – baroque elements, Rennaisance visuals and a glamourous gothic ambiance abound.
With such a richly inspired collection, it is no surpirse the runway show was a complete feast for the senses.
