Headpieces, halos and devine beauty details stole the show at the 2018 Met Gala.

The Met Gala red carpet is not JUST about the fashion. Stand-out hair and make-up is what completes an overall look and can elevate a pretty-but-seen-before dress into a cohesive ensemble that’s unique and eye-catching.

With the theme Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and  the Catholic Imagination, this year was definitely not the year to play it safe in the beauty department, as guests had room to play with avarnt-garde headpieces, regal embelishments, intricate veils and striking colour palettes.

Fortunately, fashion A-listers came to the party and provided all this and more, for some of the most memorable Met Gala moments we’ve seen (we love when people stick to the theme).

Here are some of the most stand-out beauty looks of the evening – hair, makeup, crowns and all.
