The MTV European Music Awards brings together some of the starriest songbirds in the business, with Bebe Rexha, Little Mix and Nicki Minaj all performing at this year’s event, which took place in Bilbao, Spain.
Festivities such as these call for glitzy gowns, souped-up suits and fancy-pants fabrics – and 2018’s EMA attendees did not disappoint.
Hailee Steinfeld, who was hosting the ceremony, dazzled in a disco-ready mini dress while the ladies of Little Mix wore a cavalcade of patterns, donning pinstripes, polka dots and everything in between.
Here is a list of some of the most popular looks;

The American music producer donned his usual mask alongside the British brand, who took a no-frills approach to their red carpet looks: sweatshirts, skinny jeans and bomber jackets. Who needs more than that?
Come rain or shine, the ‘I’m a Mess’ singer was prepared for either scenario in this hooded dress, which had more sequins than sense. Thigh-high boots and leather gloves gave the ensemble an upscale athleisure vibe, while giant gold chain necklaces added a touch of grimy glamour.

The child actor is rarely seen on red carpets these days, but this golden foil-like creation marks a triumphant return for Lohan, sartorially speaking. Is it a re-purposed prom dress from the 80s? Is it cocktail garb from ‘The Great Gatsby’? Is it highly-flammable? These are the sorts of questions that keep Lohan’s fans on the tips of their toes.
The ‘Havana’ singer was a true lady in red in this crimson creation, which offset the deep brunette shade of the 21-year-old’s locks. Hoop earrings give the ensemble added pizzazz.
As the master of ceremonies, it was only fair that Steinfeld wore a “look at me” outfit, and this mini sparkling dress meant she succeeded with aplomb.
The Spanish model wore a baroque white shirt with a black biker-inspired jacket slung over one shoulder, because who has time to put coats on properly?
Proving men can be just as playful with their fashion choices as women, the ‘Talk Dirty’ singer spruced-up his all-black jeans and T-shirt look with a striped red and green overcoat. But it’s the excess of blingy gold jewellery that really makes this look a keeper. From the succession of chains around his neck to the
