There’s a new dating show coming to Netflix and it is all about personality rather than looks.

Sexy beasts is the new bizarre dating show that will see single people wearing elaborate costumes while they go on dates with their potential matches.

The six-part series that will focus more on the contestant’s personalities rather than their looks will feature cutting edge prosthetics to fully transform the love seekers – giving them a chance to find their matches purely based on their personalities.

In the trailer, the single participants are unrecognisable in their over-the-top costumes.

From beaver costumes to alien masks and shark fins, the daters are left with no idea what their potential match really looks like and only have the person’s personality to go off of.

The only time the daters get a chance to reveal their faces is after the dates when the final decision is made.

The show is similar to another hit dating series on the streaming platform, Love is Blind, which was released in 2020 and followed 30 men and women as they built connections in different pods without ever seeing each other; during the speed dating process, the contestants were allowed to propose to each other whenever they chose.

Once couples became engaged, they were allowed to meet in person for the first time, resulting in a romantic getaway to Mexico, moving into their own apartment together and meeting each other’s families ahead of their wedding in days.

The show became an instant hit on Netflix so it is no surprise that we are getting another dating show that features blind dates.

When the trailer for Sexy Beasts was released viewers had mixed reactions. Some thought the show was weird and others were excited to watch.

“it’s not too late to delete this (sic),” one user wrote.

While another wrote, “Can’t wait to watch this.”
