It’s Thursday that means you have more reasons to drink and blame it on Thirsty Thursday.

If you are not in a mood for large crowds and sundowners at your local pub, these recipes can turn into a do it yourself cocktail expert in a few minutes.

Just follow these simple make it yourself recipes and you’ll see how easy it is to perfect this boozy art form without spending too much to quench your thirst.

1. Tequila Sunrise

Tequila Sunrise ☀️

Equipment requirements: A strainer, a shaker, a measuring tube, an ice crusher, a knife and a cutting board.

Also vital are, juice extractor, a mixer, cocktail glasses and swizzle sticks. Otherwise, just bung the ingredients together and hope for the best.

The ingredients:

20ml tequila

80ml orange juice

2 dashes grenadine

slice of orange

glacé cherry

Method:

Half-fill a highball glass with crushed ice and add the tequila, followed by the orange juice.

Add the grenadine in two fast splashes – if you add it too slowly, the grenadine will blend into the drink and you will not get the classic “sunrise” look.

Garnish with a slice of orange and a cherry. If desired, squeeze lime into it and serve with a straw.

2. Negroni
