Bright and bold was the theme for the week.
Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2017 has come and gone, yet we’re still left gawking over the amazing street style that was spotted off the runway.
The Nigerian city, known for it’s bold character and flair for the fabulous, held its sixth annual fashion week event at Victoria Island’s Ekto Atlantic – a newly erected coastal city that made the perfect backdrop for it’s cosmopolitan crowd.
From monochrome to multi-coloured, here are some of the street style looks we simply adored.
1. Angel Obasi – @styleconnaisseur
The ‘style connoisseur’ stunned in a mixed print ‘pajama set’ by Esosa.
2. Uche Uba – @vcheuba
The designer looked dapper in a pinstripe suit styled with a pop of colour via neck-scarf and tote bag.
3. Deola Adebiyi – @d3ola
The blogger kept it cool in all white sporting one of the biggest trends this season – statement sleeves.
4. Ifeonu Nkeiruka – @theofficialenkay
Athletic wear combined with a fun furry bag and platform sandals made for an ensemble that was quirky and comfortable.
5. Omolade Ibikunle – @official_lade
The beauty behind Lade’s Blog elevated a potentially conservative outfit into something contemporary and cool. The pleated plaid skirt paired well with sneakers, shades and belted blazer.
6. Idiat Gbode – @idii_m
Idiat gave us the ultimate beach meets street-wear vibes in an embossed skirt and Adidas Superstars topped with sunglasses and a straw brimmed hat.
7. Irene Ojo-Felix – @iojofx
Rocking an ethnic printed dress by Italian-Haitian designer Stella Jean. The handcrafted handbag and simple braids created a look that’s truly unique to Africa.
8. Zara Odu – @z_I_o
Zara looked relaxed and comfortable sporting two of this season’s LFDW designers – a graphic t-shirt by singer and designer Davido and sandals by Ivorian designer Loza Maleombho.
