Known as the maestro of make-up, Sam is already a legend in the beauty industry as a make-up artist especially for giving tips on makeup for women of colour. It only makes sense that an artist like Sam would have worked with Iman, Lion Babe, Tyra Banks and Queen Latifah.
2. Clara Chimeloane
Clara is mostly associated with big names like Bonang Matheba, Thembi Seete, Kim Jayde and many more. We understand why they trust her, she does amazing work.
3. Pat McGrath
Having already made a name for herself as a professional make-up artist, Pat has a beauty line available in international stores and online called Pat McGrath Labs. She has worked with the likes of Naomi Campbell and Oprah Winfrey, as well as the models at runway shows for Givenchy and Prada.
4. Nomsa Madida
A popular make-up artist on Instagram, Nomsa is known for mostly doing the make-up for personalities such as Boity Thulo, Pearl Modiadie and Somizi. Madida is the creator and owner of Xlcusive MakeUp Events.
5. Sir John
A royal in the make-up industry, Sir John graced South African shores last year, and hosted a number of make-up sessions, in collaboration with Woolworths. The make-up magnate’s famous clientele includes Beyoncé, Priyanka Chopra, Mary J Blige and supermodel Joan Smalls.
6. Nthato Mashishi
Mashishi is another of South Africa’s make-up elite, being known for having clientele such as Minnie Dlamini, Michelle Mosalakae, and Bridget Masinga. Mashishi is also known to have work on the set of SABC 1’s Yizo Yizo, and is a judge on SABC 1’s fashion reality show Raw Silk.
