Underboob tops are this years risqué fashion trend that influencers and celebrities are obsessed with.

Just one quick scroll through social media confirms that skimpy wrap tops that reveal your midriff and underboob by tying fabric around your neck in a halter style have become this season’s must-have look.

Celebrities and influencers alike have been sporting the daring style all over Instagram with fashion brand PrettyLittleThing reporting an 841 per cent increase in searches since the trend began.

With the look dominating online, it is quickly becoming the must-have top for fashionistas, with the likes of Kylie Jenner, Maya Jama and Molly-Mae Hague embracing the trend.

Leading the trend was one of Instagram’s most powerful influencers Kylie Jenner, who in June flaunted her enviable figure in a multi-coloured extreme halter top while posing on a beach.

In April, presenter Maya Jama donned a £56 (R1117) green halter top which she paired with £85 (R1696) emerald marbled high-rise satin trousers, both by British designer, House of Sunny.

Model Emily Ratajkowski donned a version of the trend as she enjoyed a stroll in New York last month, opting for a lilac £‌260 (R5187) Diem top by Cult Gaia which has sold out online.

Influencer and Love Island alumni Molly-Mae Hague also jumped on the bandwagon when she posed in a light brown wrap top paired with white mom jeans in her Manchester home.

A host of other Love Island alumni including Amber Gill, Joanna Chimonides, Kaz Crossley and Belle Hassan have also been seen braving the daring looks on their Instagram pages.

But according to celebrity stylist Rochelle White, the trend isn’t here to stay.

According to the Daily Mail she said: ‘I have been noticing this trend a lot of celebrities and reality TV stars.

‘I think this is a trend and a moment that will pass and might not be one to stay.

‘The style of this usually is a scarf wrapped around the top half of the body to create the look, but with some tops this is the actual style.

‘I think this look is all about adding the extra lift to support and gives a dramatic look to any outfit or swimwear.’
