Gigi Hadid recently covered the March issue of Vogue and with that a video of the models guide to post-pregnancy skincare was released.

Hadid who recently gave birth to her first child with musician Zayn Malik admitted that motherhood has drastically reduced the amount of time she spends on cosmetics, joking: ‘I know that sometimes, I’m not washing my face these days, I don’t brush my hair for a few days.

‘Sometimes I go a week without touching makeup. Just putting on deodorant is like… we’re doing great,’ she continued.

In the YouTube video Hadid is seen in a white top with her hair pulled back.

She opened up about her shift to more natural skincare products during her pregnancy to avoid exposing her daughter Khai to any harmful chemicals.

‘While I was pregnant I really moved towards really clean, natural products. I used a brand called Oliveda,’ she explained. ‘It’s just olive tree extract and they have everything from cleanser to moisturizer.’

‘I really enjoyed using that but that was also during the summer and now I have moved on to my winter routine, which really for me is about a thicker moisturizer because my skin gets so dry. My skin is always dry.’

To combat her dry skin, the runway star makes sure to use a range of incredibly hydrating products, kicking off with the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream, before layering the Odacite Facial Serum for Very Dry Skin on top.

After that, she applied the Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-Balm to areas where she experiences dry patches.

For her foundation, Gigi relies on a custom mix of glowy and matte products to give her skin a natural radiance – without resulting in too much shine.

‘I really like a base that doesn’t look dry so I like a little bit of a glow but I obviously don’t want to look oily so I have a mixture,’ she said, revealing that she mixes the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Face Primer, the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, and the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation before blending them all in with her fingers for a more natural finish.

Her finely-tuned contouring skills come into play after she has applied concealer and face powder, and filled in her brows using a pencil and some wax: ‘I like [my brow] fluffy, I like it pretty natural and looking fierce.’

The fashion favourite also uses a few face-flattering tricks when it comes to her eyeshadow, revealing that she has learned over the years how to best accentuate her eyes with make up application.

‘I go right under my brow bone, then I go from my eyebrow down, and then I go across,’ she revealed.

‘I have a really high brown bone so I think it adds a good dimension and it pushes that part of my lid back so my eyes pop more.’

Gigi adds even more definition to her face with the use of two highlighters – one cream and one powder – which she applies on several different areas that naturally catch the light.

‘I pull it [along my cheekbone] and then I go in a line right down the middle of my nose,’ she explained, while applying her Maybelline FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter.

‘Then I put some over my [top] lip. Then I [apply it to the arch of the brow].

‘Sometimes if I’m feeling extra poppin’ not only will I do the cream but I will take the powder [on top].’
