President Jacob Zuma is set to deliver the State of the Nation address (SONA) at Parliament in Cape Town on Thursday evening 09.

On Tuesday, the Presidency announced that 441 soldiers would be deployed to help police maintain “law and order” at the opening of Parliament.

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the Western Cape have called to their members to assemble in the city center today for a peaceful protest against President Jacob Zuma’s State of the Nation Address.

No violence has been reported and students have not revealed plans for a protest or demonstration in front of parliament.

Here is a gallery what happened when students invaded parliament demanding free education under the Fees Must Fall Movement.
