Cardi B revealed that the thought of having an abortion crossed her mind when she found out she was pregnant.
However, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker ultimately decided against the idea, and has now hit back at critics who have questioned her decision to keep the baby, claiming she can be a mother and have a job at the same time.
“I’m a grown woman, I’m 25 years old, I’m a schmillionaire. …I’m prepared for this. It just really bothers me and it disgusts me … It’s like, ‘Why can’t I have both?’ Why do I have to choose between a career and a baby? I want both,” she said.
When asked whether she thought about having an abortion, Cardi said: “Kind of, sort of, but then again, no. I just didn’t want to deal with the whole abortion thing. I just didn’t want to.”
And it wasn’t just online critics and trolls who hit out at her pregnancy, as Cardi revealed that even her inner circle had their doubts.
She said: “A lot of people were telling me, ‘What are you doing? What are you doing?’ And I’m like, ‘OK, I’m pregnant, but I have a game plan.’ Y’all gonna have a job still.”

However, although the ‘Bartier Cardi’ is adamant she has a “plan”, she does admit her pregnancy wasn’t a pre-planned affair.
Speaking on US radio station iHeartRadio on Tuesday (10.04.18), Cardi said: “It was just one night. It was a good night. It had to be that night.”
