CAPETOWN – Multi-award winning rap artist, AKA,is set to give fans something to remember this coming weekend with the SupaMegaShow concert which will be held at Shimmy Beach Club in Cape Town, for the first time since the concert kicked off early this year in Soweto.
The SupaMega show artist line up features his fellow rappers and hip-hop heavyweights, Da Les a.k.a North God, JR, Kwesta, Yanga and Kapital K as the MC.
The “Baddest” hit-maker who is known for lighting up the stage with his killer live band performances, got his fans in Cape Town anticipating for the SupaMega Show this week, when he Tweeted a video clip of him rehearsing for the show, and giving them a glimpse of what will be going down.
He also Tweeted, promising attendees nothing but great turn up with a full live band performance.
“Its nearly game time, Cape Town get ready for a SUPAMEGASHOW all out JHB invasion with a full live band performance” he said on Twitter.
Speaking to Pamzyn Jade, the admin and production manager at Headhoncho which is in partnership with Shimmy Beach Club for the SupaMega show, she said they have a special treat for the fans with a Pop up store which has been opened at Lost Property, RHEEDE street mall in Cape Town and fans can purchase exclusive Aka merchandise that is designed for the show.
“This is quite a big show with hip hop heavyweights on the line up bringing fans a really nice scenery,so with the merchandise we basically trying to add more appeal to the show and give the fans something to remember with the SupaMega show for the first time in Cape Town” she said.
“We also have a fan experience hosted by GH Mumm where fans get to enter via social media and win tickets to the show, a signed copy of Aka’s CD, t-shirts,Aka’s headphones and get to hang out with AKA at the event” she added.
AKA has also shown his love for Cape Town patrons when he announced a scholarship with the SAE Institute in Cape Town early this year, joining the likes of Ready D and Black Coffee.
