Kid Cudi is sick and tired of fake ass rappers in the hip hop industry and wants the whole world to know. Like most rants in the 21st century, his declaration of anger began on Twitter where he bemoaned the overall lack of originality and talent within the hip-hop music and songwriting industry, saying the industry has allowed ‘fake’and corny’ rappers shine. He also mentioned how a music industry refuses to appreciate his ‘genius’ contribution to hip hop culture, saying “I am the culture, I feel like taking over, I already have.

Things got ever more heated when he did what most would not dare-calling out Kanye and Drake for allegedly having multiple songwriters pen their biggest hits and taking the credit behind the success, as he wrote on Twitter: “Everyone thinks they’re soooo great. Talkin’ top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them.” Billboard reports that Kanye took to his audience at his Saint Pablo Tour in Florida to express his anger, saying “Kid Cudi, don’t ever mention ‘Ye name. I birthed you. We all dealing with that emo shit all the time. You mad ’cause I’m doing songs with Drake? Ain’t nobody telling ‘Ye who to do songs with! Respect the God!

Ye’ later changed his tone into a more sincere one as his anger dissipated when expressing his disappointment and hurt at Cudi’s words saying “Kid Cudi, we’re two black men in a racist world. I’m out here fighting for y’all: creatives, artists, independent thinkers. Don’t never mention my name in a bad manner. None of y’all.

Meanwhile Drake who did not seem as offended, took the humour route by referencing a OT Genesis songas he said, “Boy, you getting way too high, you need to Cud-it.”

Cudi is working to release his sixth studio album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin.”
