There is a gathering of epic proportions due to take place at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on September 23rd.

The event is known as the Red Bull Culture Clash.

What is it?

A battle of sound, four of SA’s biggest sounds, hip-hop, house, afro-beats and reggae will go head to head for the approval of the masses.

And the South African artists and their crews performing at the event are among the heavyweights in the business.

Rapper AKA and his crew Top Boyz Sound Systems, Patoranking will bring the scorching Red Hot Sound System, DJ Tira bringing Durban Massacre Sound System and Admiral & Jahseed presenting African Storm Sound System.

Hip hop lovers will surely think they have a chance of making the most noise.

It has become one of the most dominant mainstreams in SA: Hip hop.

The birthplace of hip-hop in SA is the Mother City – Cape Town, also the hometown of rapper AKA.

This event will most definitely attract a large crowd.

So to those attending please rest your vocal cords in the meanwhile, because they will have to be at their brilliant best if you want your specific artist to win this Herculean clash.

South Africans gear up for what will probably be an event to remember.

The love for music in South Africa is special, especially when it is love that comes from a land that for a very long time had suffered oppression.

Music has the ability to move mountains and the power to bring humans together.

Come September, Orlando Stadium will be boosting some of the best sounds in modern music.

Let’s hope the roof of Orlando Stadium is reinforced.
