UK startup tech company, Hologram has ushered in the next stage in super advanced pornography: VR porn!
The VRotica, as they’ve dubbed it, looks like your typical virtual reality headset, but that’s only on the outside.
Firstly, it’s a standalone device. For those who don’t speak nerd, that means it works without needing to connect to a phone, computer or any device.
Secondly, it was made with the sole target market of people who want to watch a 30-minute movie telling the story of an average-looking plumber and a bored, lonely housewife…
That’s all it does. A VR headset that plays porn and literally nothing else.
Insane as it already is, Hologram has even more planned for the headset. It comes with 6 videos pre-loaded for your viewing pleasure, and the company will allow users to purchase more on what I’m assuming will be a kind of porno app store.
They also plan to allow user-uploaded videos and adult-themed games sometime in the future.
What a time to be alive!
The device has been on sale since last week, and is a lot cheaper than most VR sets at only $200 USD.
Much cheaper in comparison to the PS4 VR headset, which at most can cost about R7000. That’s as much as the console itself!
This isn’t a new idea. Adult filmmakers have been all over VR platforms since the Facebook’s Oculus Rift first hit the shelves in 2013.
The people behind the headsets were perfectly okay with it, but closed off their app stores to adult film studios.
This forced users to download the “content” elsewhere and transfer it to the headset.
So in short: it’s cheap, it doesn’t need a phone, and it plays nothing but porn.
I guarantee lonely teenagers with fake IDs will invade Adult World to buy this thing once it goes on sale here.
