As the 1st of December marks World AIDS Day, we pay homage to the celebrities who died of complications arising from AIDS.

They made their place in our hearts and have impacted the world with their talent.

They are gone but not forgotten.

The SA Medical Association calls on the public to work hard to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS and to encourage healthy activities such as getting yourself tested frequently.

“World Aids Day is about increasing awareness of HIV and Aids. This is done through sharing educational information, showing support for people living with HIV, fighting the stigma attached to living with HIV and participating in health activities such as testing for HIV,” says SAMA chairperson Dr Mzukisi Grootboom.
