For those who spend hours working on a desk with their shoulders hunched over or half the day sitting down can experience hip and back pain at any age.
A popular osteopath has shared two simple tricks that he claims can relieve back and hip pain in seconds.
Brendon Talbot, a health practitioner who specializes in bone and muscle tissue, uses his TikTok account to share simple tricks and home excersizes that he claims help with relieving muscle pain.
In one of his viral videos he claimed that by sitting on the floor with your legs stretched straight in front of you, then opening and closing them while keeping them raised a few centimetres off the ground will instantly reduce tightness.
The medical expert warned that pelvic pain and stiffness can be aggravated by long hours sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Talbot also recommended lying on the floor with your legs pressed up against a wall, then bending them in before gently opening them as far as you can.
According to the osteopath, the stretches won’t only reduce pain, but also improve balance and strength across a wide range of activities including running, walking, squatting, and weight-lifting.
Talbot’s viewers were quick to share their funny reactions to his video.
“I would get stuck on the floor if I had to do those,” one user wrote.
While another commented, “You might have to help me up after that.”
