A dreamland for all chocolate connoisseurs has opened in Durban and I must say Lindt outdid themselves at the boutique’s launch in the Pavilion Shopping Mall yesterday.
From the moment I checked in at the door, there were people offering me refreshments and of course Lindt chocolate. The store was packed but I could still see the variety of chocolates on display.
What caught my eye first were the chocolate macarons which will be on sale at the boutique. It is amazing how something that small can make one so happy.
The boutique also offers chocolate brownies, hot chocolate, and milkshakes.
As I was enjoying my macaron I then looked up at the master chocolatier’s station where I saw that I could go create my own personalised chocolate slab with a variety of ingredients to add such as candied oranges, coconut, hazelnuts, white chocolate bits and loads more.
As you might have figured I ran to that section so I could create my own personalised slab to give to my dear mother, the Master Chocolatier was kind enough to assist me with creating the masterpiece.
It only took 8 minutes for the creation to set and while I waited I explored more of the boutique.
I spotted the exclusive range, Piemonte which I regret not having a taste of.
5FM DJ, Fikile Moeti, known popularly as Fixsacious or DJ Fix also enjoyed the evening with us.
Stefan Kuhn, Head of Retail at Lindt & Sprüngli South Africa was excited for the launch saying, “The new interactive Lindt Chocolate Boutique is sure to be Durban’s ultimate chocolate destination.”
He added, “Not only will it be our largest South African retail store to date, but it will also offer Durban consumers full access to the authentic Lindt experience, allowing them to truly immerse themselves in the brand and gain a greater appreciation for the art of chocolate making.”
With Christmas around the corner, I would advise all chocolate lovers to head to the store and go wild. The personalised Lindt slab will make the perfect Christmas stocking filler it is only R59.
