From Tuesday South Africans will be able to enjoy some cannabis in their pizza at the popular Italian inspired restaurant franchise group, Col’Cacchio.

The restaurant – in partnership with one of Africa’s leading CBD brands africanpure – announced the launch of the first ever cannabis pizza range in South Africa, which will be available at selected Col’Cacchio restaurants this week.

Col’Cacchio is known for being an innovative restaurant brand in SA with healthy dining being a key focus of their offering. They were one of the first to introduce gluten free, low calorie, Banting/ carb-conscious and vegan alternatives to their menu and will now be the first restaurant brand to have a cannabis offering.

Two gourmet Cannabis inspired pizzas will now feature on the menu, the Green Goddess and the Not-So-Plain Mary Jane, which will be retailed at R125 and R140 respectively.

The two pizzas will be drizzled with africanpure CBD oil which contains no THC or synthetic chemicals, making it absolutely safe to enjoy. 

Customers will also be able to add CBD oil to any other dish on the Col’Cacchio menu at an additional cost of R25.

The announcement comes after the landmark announcement by the Department of Health, saying that Cannabidiol (CBD) can now be legally purchased in SA. 

The new Cannabis pizza range will be available at all Col’Cacchio restaurants, excluding the Windhoek and Halaal restaurants. So if you are around Durban head to the branch in uMhlanga and let us know what you think.
