Viewers are calling Netflix’s new documentary Don’t F*** With Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer the “most disturbing” series they have ever seen.

Don’t F*** With Cats is about a Canadian murderer, Luka Magnotta, and the amateur detective work carried out to catch him after he posted a graphic video of himself killing two kittens online

Despite the efforts of online detectives to alert the authorities of Magnotta’s animal abuse, no action was taken until he murdered and dismembered Chinese student Lin Jun, a killing he also shared online in a video.

The Netflix documentary opens with a video being uploaded to YouTube in which a man smokes a cigarette before killing two small kittens.

Viewers have taken to Twitter to express their horror at the show.

One tweeted: “Do NOT watch #DontFckWithCats on Netflix if you’re sensitive to animal abuse. I’m all thinking it had some silly cat videos or something, watched some of the first part then realised it’s disturbing.”

Don’t F**k With Cats is literally the most interesting yet most disturbing documentary i have ever watched in my life,” wrote another.

A third person said: “Okay you guys. Stop everything you’re doing, cancel your plans, quit your jobs, dump your significant other, log off this bad website, and watch Don’t F**k With Cats on Netflix. It is the most twisted and twisty murder doc I’ve ever seen and I watch ALL THE MURDER DOCS.”

Don’t F**k With Cats is one of the most disturbing yet brilliant murder documentaries on Netflix right now!!! I was hooked from start to finish!” wrote a fourth.

After an international manhunt, Magnotta was apprehended in Berlin and extradited back to Canada, where he was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison for 25 years.

Don’t F**k With Cats is available on Netflix now.
