The 100 Ekurhuleni Shining Stars is an annual recognition and celebration of Ekurhuleni young residents committed to service in various fields of interest.
These youngsters are innovative and inspire solution-driven ways to shape Ekurhuleni’s future outlook and the people who live here.
Ekurhuleni seeks to honour these change agents who embody the spirit of former State President Nelson Mandela and political activist Mama Albertina Sisulu who were about service to the people of South Africa first and foremost, committed to working for dignified lives only characterized by decent education, caring for one another, good health system and active citizenship.
Both Madiba and Mama Sisulu would have celebrated their centenary, thus the magic number – of 100 Ekurhuleni Shining Stars who have hatched ideas and concepts that are actively transforming business, social and political environments, and are already doing it successfully in Ekurhuleni.
