Forget oven baked feta pasta, a home cook has shared her ultimate recipe for making corn ribs at home in the latest food trend to take over TikTok.

Mon Mack, from Brisbane, shared a now-viral TikTok video showing exactly how she makes the snack, which she describes as a ‘game changer’.

‘If you love corn on a cob but hate how messy it is to eat, you definitely want to try this… These are the real deal,’ she said in the video.

‘You know how whenever you eat corn on the cob you get stuff in your teeth? Yeah, well with these you don’t and I’ve gotta say, they taste even better this way.’

To make the finger food, all you’ll need is a corn cob, cumin, ground coriander, sweet paprika, smoked paprika, turmeric, natural yoghurt, salt and oil.

She started by cutting off both ends of the corn, before microwaving it with the husk on for 30 seconds.

‘This is just to help peel away the husk nice and easily,’ Mon explained.

Using a sharp knife, she carefully cut the corn lengthways, from the top down to the bottom to split it in half.

‘Then do the same to cut it in quarters,’ she said.

In a bowl, combine about a teaspoon of cumin, ground coriander, sweet paprika, smoked paprika, turmeric and salt.

Then she added a tablespoon of oil to the corn ribs, followed by the spices and a pinch of salt.

‘Massage those together,’ she said, combining the corn and mix until it’s well coated.

Next, she lined the corn ribs up on a baking tray and pop them into a pre-heated oven at about 220 degrees Celsius for 25 to 30 minutes.

Serve the corn in a bowl with a drizzle of mayonnaise or natural yoghurt for a lighter option, topped with chopped spring onions and more spices.

‘Super juicy, and just crispy on the outside,’ she said, confirming the corn ribs are not dry after baking them.

The video has since been viewed more than 290,000 times, with dozens of people saying they couldn’t wait to make the corn ribs at home.

Here is the full recipe:
