Before the Duchess of Sussex disappeared into the royal palace and stopped posting on social media, Meghan shared a few tips for making a pasta sauce she described at the time as a “filthy (cool), sexy mush” you can drop your pasta into.
Markle’s Pasta Sauce Tips
- Begin with cooking your onions in oil of your choice.
- Add chopped zucchini and stock cubes (Meghan uses bouillon cubes) and then let that cook down/simmer for FOUR hours.
- It’s the long slow cook that will give you a creamy, buttery sauce.
The Duchess called her sauce a “zucchini bolognese” and told delish.com that it was a close friend who recommended the method and ingredients and she was surprised that “the sauce gets so creamy, you’d swear there’s tons of butter and oil in it, but it’s just zucchini, water, and a little bouillon.”
