Flight attendants are expected to take pride in their appearance in the air. And according to insiders, some airlines are strict in their guidelines, requiring staff to possess picture-perfect skin.

One anonymous source told The Daily Telegraph that a bad pimple could result in someone being grounded, and prevented from doing their job.

Other airlines are also said to have strict weight and body-fat ratios.

They also told the outlet that some airlines require their staff to maintain a certain weight and body-fat ratio.

It comes after former international flight attendant Belinda shared details about life in the air, in an interview with the Daily Mail.

Belinda revealed the unwritten rules that she always wished people would adhere to on board.

‘It might be annoying not getting your first choice, but remember, we’re doing our best to make 300 people fed and happy,’ she said. ‘When we run out of chicken, we run out of chicken.

‘While you might not get your first preference, if you chuck us a smile, we might even throw you something from our secret stash for being so understanding.’

Belinda added that it’s not okay to hog the bathroom.

‘We all know funny things can happen when you’re flying at 35,000 feet, and we also experience them too,’ she joked.

‘However it’s a shared space, so please try your best to be quick and efficient in the lavatory.’
