Sharing pictures of your meals has become so popular on social media sites like Instagram and Facebook.
Now there is an app called Picdine that is solely dedicated to storing all your fine dining memories.
According to the website, Picdine is a mobile app the provides its users with the ability to share images they have taken of restaurant meals.
“These images are associated with the restaurant offering the meal and tagged with the key elements in the dish allowing for other users to discover what’s good and what to try based on their preferences.” reads the site.
It continues, “Users also earn points from uploading their images on Picdine and these points can be later redeemed for great vouchers.”
With Picdine you are able to browse through all the latest food pictures uploaded and also search for specific meals using tags.
When looking for a specific restaurant you can see all the meals posted by diners at that restaurant. It is basically the go-to site for all the ‘foodporn’ from across South Africa.
How to get started:
Download the app from the IOS or Google play stores and register an account.
Then post images of your meals.
You will then be asked to enter the meal name, rate the meal out of 5 stars, describe the meal in a few words, select from a list which restaurant they have had the meal from and tag the meal with the key elements of the dish.
Users can also follow other users registered and restaurants on the app.
Picdine will help you discover restaurant meals and to discover new restaurants based on the name, location and cuisine.
