Mosa Dikobo, 28, from KwaMagxaki in the Eastern Cape, grew up helping his grandfather run a domestic cleaning business.
After his grandfather passed away, the logistics graduate wanted to continue his legacy by starting a business of his own. So he used some of his grandfather’s old equipment to start a cleaning and valet service out of his car.
That was in 2012. Now Citrus Green Solutions cleans office buildings, factories and plants across three provinces for clients that include SAB Miller and Famous Brands. After watching his grandfather succumb to illness, the health of his clients and employees is of utmost importance to Dikobo.
Citrus Green Solutions is an environmentally friendly company that uses only biodegradable products and energy- and water-efficient machinery. Beyond just cleaning, his team offers clients ISO-accredited health and safety assessments and consultations.
In 2013, Citrus Green Solutions was chosen as one of the SAB Kickstart Competition’s Top 60 businesses in the country. In 2015 the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber recognised Dikobo as one of its “Top 40 under 40” entrepreneurs.
But the achievement he is most proud of is that he is continuing to build on his family’s legacy.
