If you weren’t sure before, local designers at Cape Town Fashion Week just proved without a shadow of a doubt that Africa is indeed now. With bold prints, colours and patterns, collections that came down the runway were an apologetic showcase of traditional roots from all over the African continent.

The theme I Am Africa was a celebration of our intricate heritage and culture while glorifying African excellence in it’s purest form. The looks were unconventional with voluminous silhouettes and layered styling.
