The 54-year-old rock musician – the widow of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, who tragically died in 1994 – has teamed up with Midnight Studios’ to curate a line which has garments based upon her 2006 memoir ‘Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love’.

Courtney’s range is exclusive to the first annual Hypefest which is being held in Brooklyn, New York City, this weekend in association with street style website Hypebeast.

The ‘Malibu’ singer – who has 26-year-old daughter Frances Bean Cobain from her relationship with Kurt – announced the collection to her fans on Instagram and previewed a select few campaign images.

The exclusive collection contains a variety of layered looks and long-line t-shirts, one features a check print with a black and white photo of Love’s face with an off-white ruffled skirt.

Meanwhile, Courtney’s former Hole bandmate Melissa Auf der Maur will be directing a special tribute night to the vocalist later this month in New York and will be joined by ‘American Horror Story Actress’ Chloe Sevigny, REM frontman Michael Stipe and celebrity photographer Ryan McGinley.

Speaking to NME, Melissa said: “Honestly, the event that we’re honouring Courtney with, Pioneering People, we did it once with John Waters, once with Rufus Wainwright.

“Earlier this year I realised it’s gotta be a woman. So it occurred to me, well, Courtney’s a pioneer. And Courtney deserves a creative bouquet of honouring.

“She’s one of the most misunderstood, wild card, strange individuals, and Hole’s legacy is important to me, as far as it being looked at with the respect it deserves and the impact it made. The impact is very real. The #MeToo moments, Courtney was always saying this stuff.”
