GUESS turns up the heat for summer!

We were invited to the VIP GUESS launch event held in Cape Town where their new collection was presented on the runway to capture the sexiness of summer.

Their new summer collection is the perfect mixture of casual and carefree sensuality! Think wind swept hair, sun-kissed skin and ‘woke-up-like-this’ beach waves…

BEAUTIFUL BOHO

If you love maxi dresses, you are in for a treat! The new collection includes beautiful floral prints with a boho twist. One of of the crowd favourites was a soft and flowy red floral dress (see below).

BLACK IS (ALWAYS) BACK

Lace was also one of the standout materials and featured in some of the collection’s shirts and dresses. I love how they styled some of the outfits head-to-toe in black – always a winner combo!

DENIM DELUXE

Of course GUESS wouldn’t be the same without a touch of denim! Their classic denim jeans and vests are perfect for that effortless summer look.

NEUTRAL TONES

It’s all about clean whites and shades of tan and beige. White distressed denim and island-ready delicate lace dresses and off-the-shoulder tops in crisp white are complemented by the rich earthy neutral tones in the form of tops, shorts and a buttery leather jacket.

WHAT ABOUT BAE?

Think edgy distressed denim and short-sleeved button down shirts with playful prints. I personally loved the slim raw edge shorts in black! Other items included colourful denim vests and trendy tee’s.
