Our top picks for the most eye-catching looks that were spotted off the catwalk.

Let’s be real, as much as we love SA Fashion Week for the latest designer collections that are showcased on the runway, we often wait with bated breath and obsessively refresh out Insta feeds just to see the killer street style and front row looks from some of our fav celebs and influencers.

Check out these 10 looks that stole the show.

  1. Nabilah Kariem

SA Fashion Week

Yellow has been forecast as the colour of the season and influencer Nabila Kariem was right on trend when she arrived in canary yellow, a beret and retro shades. A pair of crisp white Reebok Classics kept the look casual and cool.

2. Kwenya Baloyi

SA Fashion Week

Stylist and ‘kween’ Kwenya Baloyi rocked a monochrome Rich Mnisi two-piece fresh off the runway.  She OWNED the outfit with traditional beaded braids and colour blocking from head to toe.

3. Sarah Langa

SA Fashion Week

Politics can be pretty, as Sarah Lange proved in a statement printed Prada dress featuring sketches of the some most influential icons in recent history. Deep red block heels and matching lip add some density to an otherwise dainty outfit.

4. Yaone Rafentse

SA Fashion Week

The fashion guru flaunted an athleisure-meets-office-wear ensemble from her forthcoming clothing brand YXYR. We can’t wait.

5. Mahdiyyah Mota

SA Fashion Week

Sometimes less is more. These pinstripe culottes are the star of the show styled with sneakers and a plain white shirt.

6. Kim Jayde Robinson

The MTV Base presenter was the embodiment of ‘edgy’ thanks to a chain inspired get-up which she styled with knee-high boots. Her slicked back pony tail and smoky eye complete the look.

7. Bonang Matheba

What’s a Fashion Week best dressed list without an appearance by the Queen Bee? Here she is sitting front row casually draped in faux fur and red leather.

8. Ayanda Nhlapo

The designer and actor donned a ‘self-designed and self-made’ kimono, keeping in theme with this season’s floral and pyjamas-as-outwear trends. She mixed it up with some Asian accents for a look that was truly unique.

9. Thameenah Saint

Makeup artist Thameenah Saint turned heads in this feathery teal number.

10Nicola Cooper

We’re getting subtle 70’s vibes with this side swept bob and silver wrap dress. Minimal accessories keep the outfit effortless and chic.
