Francois Badenhorst aka Francois van Coke, is the lead vocalist, songwriter and founding member of the South African Punk Rock bands, Fokofpolisiekar and Van Coke Karte.
4. Babes Wodumo – Wololo
Wodumo’s album, Gqom Queen Vol.1 is also nominated for Best Dance Album and Best Female Album while she’s also nominated in the Best New Comer category.
5. Kwesta ft. Cassper Nyovest – Ngud
“Ngud” is a song by Hip Hop artist, Kwesta, featuring Cassper and is produced by DJ Maphorisa. It features in Kwesta’s ulbum “DAKAR II”. Kwesta has won many awards under his belt, including being the favourite at the 23rd Annual South African Music Awards, Best Male Artist of the Year, and Best Rap Album.
6. GoodLuck – I’ve Been Thinking about You
GoodLuck is a South African electronic band. In September 2015, GoodLuck was selected to open for Pharrell Williams, as a part of his world tour.
7. Jeremy Loops – Down South (ft. Motheo Moleko)

Jeremy Thomas Hewitt, (born 4 March 1986), known by his stage name Jeremy Loops, is a South African singer, songwriter, and record producer. His debut album Trading Change was released March 2014 in South Africa and debuted at No. 1 on iTunes South Africa.
8. Nasty C – Hell Naw
He grew up in Durban where he was raised by his father. His mother died when he was only 11 months old due to a car accident.
He is most known for the single “Way It Go” by DJ Switch featuring Tumi and Youngsta, as well as the well-received remix to his single “Juice Back”, which features DavidO and Cassper Nyovest. He was the youngest recipient of an award at the 2015 South African Hip Hop Awards, namely the Best Freshman Award.
9. Bhizer Featuring Busiswa, SC Gorna, and Bhepepe – Gobisiqolo
When your radio blares “Gobisiqolo” (break your back) you just have to drop everything! The song has been a South African dancefloor favourite. The hilarious spinoffs/imitations of the Gobisiqolo dance is enough to leave you with the giggles and a dire need to break your back too.

Lehlogonolo Ronald Mataboge (born March 27, 1997), better known by his stage name A-Reece is best known for his debut hit single, “Couldn’t” which features former label-mate and award-winning hip hop artist Emtee.
