JOHANNESBURG – Funny man Trevor Noah is set to host the MTV MAMA 2016 awards and we are just dying with excitement!
The comedian and Daily Show host made the announced on his Twitter account this morning, tweeting:
Noah expressed his pleasure to be hosting the event saying: “I’m a huge fan of African music and achievement, and it’s going to be a massive pleasure celebrating them both at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2016 in my own home town…”
The awards, an annual celebration of African and international talent and achievement, will be held at the Ticketpro Dome in Joburg this year after Durban played host for the past two years.
This year’s ceremony will be headlined by Babes Wodumo alongside rapper Nasty C and Nigerian afropop singer Yemi Alade.
