Activist Gloria Steinem quotes Drake’s diss track in her Women’s March speech

The Anti-Trump Women’s March taking place in Washington DC and other states in America has been making headlines the past few days. Many high-profile celebrities such as Madonna, Alicia Keys, Scarlett Johansson, Katy Perry and Rihanna attended, performed and delivered speeches.

However, one speech that stood out was that of activist, Gloria Steinem, who quoted Drake’s diss track aimed at rapper Meek Mill.

The famous “Back to Back” lyrics are “Yeah, trigger fingers turn to twitter fingers”.

This reference seemed to be a warning to Donald Trump who is now the President of the most powerful country in the world. Steinem warned Trump that “a Twitter finger must not become a trigger finger”.

Here are other celebrities who have quoted some of the songs and movies we love:

1. Donald Trump vs Bane

Trump’s inauguration speech sounded eerie familiar to one of our favourite Batman villains.

2. Janelle Monae vs Mary Jackson

This one is extremely beautiful. Janelle quotes her latest movie, Hidden Figures character, Mary Jackson, during the Anti-Trump Women’s March.

3. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi vs. Rick Ross

Mbuyiseni Ndlozi aka “The People’s Bae” stunned South African’s in his Hip Hop vs politics speech.
