LifeLine Western Cape says its counsellors will be available via skype during the 21-day national lock down to help citizens during this time of crisis.

In statement issued on Monday, LifeLine Western Cape said that anxiety, fear and loneliness are issues that the team of counsellors at LifeLine Western Cape deal with daily, but they have noticed an increase more than tenfold since the Covid-19 national lockdown took effect in South Africa last Friday.

Concerned for the welfare of citizens and their staff, LifeLine has set up a skype line that will allow multiple calls to still reach its counsellors.

To contact a LifeLine counsellor you will need to ensure that you have skype downloaded as an app on your phone or laptop. You will then need to visit LifeLine Western Cape website http://www.lifelinewc.org.za and click on the “call us” button.

Once completed, this will take you directly to the next available counsellor.

Lines remain open from 9.30am to 10pm every day.
