CAPE TOWN – One “theatre’s worth” of Capetonians will be celebrating New Year this year with the world’s most famous little orphan girl and friends.

The cast of Annie will join the audience after the show on New Year’s Eve, which will start at 9pm, later than usual, for a glass of bubbly and snacks on the piazza at Artscape.

An eclectic blues, jazz and rock band, Crooked, will keep the party going with old favourites from the likes of Elvis and Chuck Berry, the Beatles, Guns ’n Roses and the Rolling Stones.

The production of Annie runs at the Artscape Opera House until January 8.
