LOS ANGELES – Hollywood’s power couple, after 11 years together have come out to the public about their divorce.
The ‘By The Sea’ star has spoken out for the first time since it was revealed that the 41-year-old actress has filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
In a statement, he said: “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids.
This is definitely a challenging time for the couple and even more so for their six kids. I doubt anyone could have predicted something like this from ‘Brangelina’, not after 6 kids and only two years of marriage.
Angelina’s longtime manager Geyer Kosinki told E! News: “Angelina is doing what’s best in the interest of taking care of her children. She appreciates everyone’s understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”
Angelina reportedly decided to end her two-year marriage from the 52-year-old actor after growing “extremely upset” with how Brad was parenting their children.
In documents filed to the court, Angelina is asking for joint legal custody of their six children – Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight – but is seeking sole physical custody. Angelina has stated in court papers that she is happy to allow visitation rights.
Reportedly Angelina wanted more of a family life than Brad did. World War Z 2 was not on Angelina’s list of things to do, if it meant Brad being away from the kids. She reportedly said that she was not interested in taking projects that would take them away from their family especially her kids.
This was rather a different story for Brad.
