The official TYI Call for Nominations 2017 was a glitzy event that took place at the ever glamorous 15 on Orange, African Pride Hotel in Cape Town.
Esteemed guests included our Cape Town-based #MzansiTop100 of 2016, Independent Media Executive Chairman – Dr. Iqbal Surve, Group Executive – Mike Ntsasa, our Editor of The Young Independents – Saajida Francis and our keynote speaker of the evening, South Africa’s new Public Protector – Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane.
MC of the evening was none other than comedian, Kagiso Modise. Modise kept the crowd enraptured with his unapologetic yet hilarious interpretations of the South African local experience.
