On the eve of Sexpo South Africa’s 10th anniversary this week, one of this year’s international guests has gone public on her 2006 introduction to the controversial American presidential candidate, Donald Trump.

Variety magazine revealed over the weekend that Jessica Drake, the adult film performer for Wicked Pictures, appeared on Saturday with attorney Gloria Allred to make a statement.

The respected sexologist, celebrity actress and special guest to this week’s Sexpo 2016 event, at Nasrec, said she had met Trump 10-years-ago, at a golf tournament in California, USA. With 10 other sexual misconduct accusers having already come forward since the race to The White House began, Drake is the latest to go public on the subject of Donald Trump’s inappropriate conduct, claiming that he offered her $10,000, and access to his jet, to come to his penthouse hotel room at a golf event back in 2006. Sean Newman, managing director of Sexpo South Africa, confirmed he and his team are aware of the recent announcement from Drake prior to her arrival in the country.

“Jessica has always been a friend and wonderful ambassador of our brand out here in South Africa. We would like to note that she has our unequivocal support in this difficult time, while wishing her a safe journey to our shores.”

“This year Jessica appears at Sexpo under a slightly different guise,” Newman adds, “this time as an educator and sexologist.

Jessica will share her unique insights into all things sexual. Workshops, Q&A sessions, fan signing and photo opportunities as well as appearances on the main stage will fill her time over the four-day spectacle.”

A social activist for woman’s and LGBTI rights Jessica is an active educator and campaigner, lending her voice to these calls in multiple countries spanning the globe. In addition to her work in the adult movie industry, Jessica has also appeared ina number of films made for US cable TV and has made guest appearances in several TV series.

In 2003 she signed an exclusive contract with Wicked Pictures. Jessica, along with a host of other names within the broader entertainment economy, look to elevate this year’s show hosted at Johannesburg’s Expo Centre at Nasrec.
