No matter where you live in the world, there are incredible places to visit and be bewitched by some of these places’ beauty and architectural sites. 

Andaman Islands, India

Pure white sands fringe rainforest that is home to a rich profusion of wildlife… It all sounds suitably idyllic to be the Seychelles or Mauritius, but India’s remote Andaman archipelago ticks many boxes of vacation bliss.

Over the past 19 months, it has become much easier to access the archipelago thanks to more flights being available to Port Blair from four of India’s main cities.

Venice, Italy

The romantic floating city is always one of the cities added on any list for the best destinations, and despite the rising water levels that the city is experiencing, the Italian city still receives thousands of visitors every year.

The canals that run through the city act as roadways, providing a unique transportation option while delivering a beautiful scene.

Tokyo, Japan

Travel to the city that moves at a lightning pace, one of the world’s busiest cities and marvel at the blindingly bright lights of Tokyo. 

This metropolis nicely balances tradition and modernity with its tall skyscrapers in the middle of the city, and its palaces and temples located on the outskirts. An example of this is the Zo-Ji Buddhist temple and the Tokyo tower, or the Tokyo Metropolitan government buildings with a beautiful view of Mount Fuji.

Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia

Known as one of Croatia’s most popular tourist attractions, the national park abounds with lakes and waterfalls that encapsulate the beauty of the national park. This area is among one of the most beautiful in the world, with crystal clear waters, lush green scenery, and stunning waterfalls.

The UNESCO World Heritage site boasts sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, and set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

In the glory days of its 17th-century Golden Age, Amsterdam was the hub of world trade; nowadays it’s the hub of the cosmopolitan age with it’s historic still etched in the buildings across the city. 

The Dutch city is renown for its cultural vibe, liberal attitude and being the home of the Anne Frank Museum and the Rijksmuseum. Amsterdam is definitely a destination to add to the bucket list.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia

What is a list of destinations without a popular island destination like Bora Bora? 

The French Polynesian island is popular for holidays, as it has warm temperatures all year round, and boasts extraordinary turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and beautiful greenery you’d hope to find in the tropics.

Highlands, Iceland

Tourists visiting the highlands get to experience the country’s hot springs, Europe’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull, volcanoes and the most powerful waterfall in Europe – Dettifoss – located in the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon.

Tourists are also able to check out the dazzling Northern Lights show, something that should be on every wanderlust bucket list.

Victoria Falls, Zambia and Zimbabwe 

One of the world’s most majestic water spectacles, Victoria Falls (also called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or “The Cloud That Thunders) were reportedly first seen by a European when Scottish native David Livingstone journeyed here in 1855.

Since then thousands have enjoyed the spray from the 108-meter high cascade, which was once recorded flowing at 12,800 cubic meters per second — double that of Niagara’s highest flow.

Macchu Pichu, Peru 

For tourists,  a visit to the Inca city of Machu Picchu is the long-anticipated high point of their trip. The awe-inspiring ancient city is one of the best architectural sites in Peru and receives hundreds of visitors who hike up to the high point.

New York City, United States of America

Ending the list is the city that never sleeps. The city boasts some of America’s amazing sites like Times Square, the Empire State Building, Lady Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. 

The cosmopolitan city is one of the most popular cities that is visited by tourists and should be added to the bucket list if tourists don’t mind its excessively bustling vibe.
