The Highest Paid DJs in the World features big names like David Guetta, Afrojack and Diplo. 

Forbes compiled the list using the pretax earnings of the DJs from June 1 2017 to June 1 2018 before fees were deducted for lawyers, managers and agents. 

The estimates are based on figures from Nielsen, Pollstar, Bandsintown, Songkick and interviews with industry as well as the DJs.

1. Calvin Harris: $48 million

Calvin Harris pulls in six-figure checks for his sets in Los Angeles as well as seven-figures for headlining festival performances from Japan to Croatia. Harris’ new single “One Kiss” was at the top of the charts in both the UK and across Europe. This is the sixth consecutive time that Harris has been at the top of this list. 

2. The Chainsmokers: $45,5 million

This duo consists of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart who broke through the music scene with their song “#Selfie”. The duo who are known for songs like “Closer” and “Something Just Like This” are rounding up a three-year residency with Wynn Nightlife. They collect nightly six-figure checks for their sets. 

3. Tiësto: $33 million

The Dutch DJ performed around 150 gigs during the Forbes scoring period and collaborations with Jackie Chan and Post Malone guarantees that he stays relevant. The 49-year-old just extended his Hakkasan residency until 2020. 

4. Steve Aoki: $28 million

Aoki played 200 shows during the scoring period and is sure to earn a pretty penny through his collaborations with Dropbox, airline ANA and Zumba. He also signed a deal with Diesel watches in May. 

5. Marshmello: $23 million

Marshmello made bank through his nightly fees as well as collaborations with artists like Selena Gomez and Logic. He also boosted his social media presence with a YouTube series called “Cooking with Marshmello”.

South African DJ Black Coffee is considered to be the most wealthy DJ in South Africa the most bankable artist in Africa according to Forbes Africa. 

The South African DJ has worked with artists like Alicia Keys and Drake. He was the first South African to win a BET award. Besides owning a fancy car collection that includes a Bentley and he owns properties in the US. 

According to the Net Worth Portal, Black Coffee has a net worth of $2 million. The DJ has had many hit tracks and has produced a number of artists under his label.
