Women in media were treated to a special day of pampering at the Pearls Mall in Umhlanga today to celebrate women’s month.

Taryn Fleming, the PR Account Executive at the Pearls said they had chosen to spoil women in media because of the hard work they do every day.

“We just wanted to do something special for women who work so hard every day and I work a lot with the media so I figured who better to spoil than the people I interact with regularly,” she said.

She added that the day was also to show the women and others who do not know about all the services available at the Pearls; like the Camelot Spa, the luxurious rooms in the hotel and all the clothing stores available.

The pampering started at the Camelot Spa where women were treated to manicures, pedicures, makeup and hair styling.

Then they headed to the clothing stores to pick up outfits that they wanted to wear for the photo shoot that took place by the pool in the Pearls.

Magenta Magazine was also invited to take part in the pampering which was an amazing experience. Just taking the time out to relax and forget about whats happening around the world just for a few hours was refreshing.

Sunday Tribune reporter, Kwandokuhle Njoli also took part in the pampering and she had a blast. We followed her around as she got her glam done and we have to say the end result was amazing and not just for her but for all the other women.

Her makeup artist gave her some makeup tips that she could easily use.

Jacky Jet, the makeup artist suggested coconut oil as a makeup remover and moisturizer before bed. She also said to keep your natural skin healthy one had to ensure that their makeup was washed off completely before bed.

“Never go to bed with makeup because that is bad for your skin, wash it off completely and using a face wash and then a cleanser like Micellar water afterward,” she said.
