Ironing can be a tedious task so an influencers simple hack for removing crinkles on bedding without having to take out the ironing board is a game-changer.
Cleaning influencer Carolina McCauley showed off her incredible ‘wrinkle release’ spray online recently in a handy video that quickly went viral.
To put it together she simply mixed water, rubbing alcohol and fabric softener in a bottle before spraying it over her linen bedspread.
She then smoothed out the bedding with her hands and left it to dry.
When she returned the cover was virtually wrinkle-free.
Her viewers were quick to praise her for sharing the hack with one user writing, “I love this so much, actually I save all your videos.”
While another wrote: “This is so good – the smell – I might just spray my lounge with it.”
Other viewers were so excited by the spray that they used it on their clothes.

“This works for clothes too but you can also take cold water spray it on your shirt rub it in and let it air dry! by the time you leave out you’ll be mostly wrinkle-free,” one mum responded to one of the comments.
However, there were some naysayers who thought there were too many chemicals in the ingredients of the spray.
“I love a good wrinkle release – if only fabric softener wasn’t loaded with so many chemicals,” one user wrote.
While another stuck up for McCauley writing; “I love watching your videos but hate the comment section. So many people have their own corrections and tips – why don’t they just open their own page.”
McCauley uses her Instagram account to share household hacks with her over 600,000 followers.
Here is the full recipe for the wrinkle release spray:
- Mix 2 cups of Water
- 1/4 cup of Rubbing Alcohol
- 1/4 cup of Fabric Softener
