We have all been in situations where we needed to shave our legs quickly before leaving the house.
The end result of shaving in a hurry usually leaves you walking out the door with nips, cuts, and more often than not, you make the dreaded discovery that you missed a spot.
Luckily a TikTok user has shared a life-changing hack for shaving in a rush.
Lauren Henderson has gone viral for the hack that she promises will cut shaving time down without running the risk of cutting yourself.
In the video she claimed that the key is to maintain contact between the razor and your leg throughout the entire shaving process, without lifting the tool away.
And she said the trick is so quick that it only took her ‘5 minutes per leg’.
Explaining the process, Lauren said: ‘I literally just did this, this morning, so grab your razor.
‘You know how we lather our legs up and we shave, and we shave, and we do all that, right? Wrong! So wrong! Try this instead: Shave, but don’t lift it,’ Lauren said.
She demonstrated how instead of gliding the razor upwards and lifting it, she pushed it back down the skin towards her foot, before swiping up again, without losing contact with her leg.
The downward movement releases the loose stubble from the blades, so it’s not necessary to keep lifting the razor to rinse it off.
The TikTok user added that the process is extremely quick if you’re in a hurry to get out of the house.
‘It literally took me five seconds per leg to shave my legs this morning, that is the fastest it has ever taken me in my life,’ she explained.
‘And you can go over your knees too, and it doesn’t cut you up.’
